Civil Engineering is closely related to human survival and reproduction of the four basic elements: food, clothing, shelter, transportation, to provide for human residential, hotels, apartments, storage of material production base, food cold storage, roads, airports, railways, ports, terminals, factories, laboratories and development of human life, such as the need to place in space.

　　土木工程是指房屋、公路、铁路、桥梁、水工、港工、地下等工程的总称。土木工程对国家的建设和人民生活的非常明显和重要。土木工程密切关系到人类赖以生存和繁衍的四大基本要素：衣、食、住、行，为人类提供住宅、宾馆、公寓、衣料生产贮藏基地、食品冷库、公路、机场、铁路、港口、码头、厂房、实验室等人类生活和发展的必要场所空间。
